Savoura Bio
Organic tomatoes grown in Gaspésie
Sainte-Sophie, February 16, 2017 – Stéphane Roy, President of Sagami / Savoura / SAVOURA BIO and Christian Côté, President of JARDINS-NATURE of New Richmond in Gaspésie are proud to announce a new long-term partnership agreement that will help SAVOURA BIO meet the growing demand for organic tomatoes in the North American market. For Sagami / Savoura / SAVOURA BIO, this Gaspésie facility will be the company’s ninth production site in Quebec. Under this agreement, JARDINS-NATURE, which has proudly been producing organic greenhouse tomatoes for nearly 20 years, will become the ninth production facility in Quebec for the Sagami / Savoura / SAVOURA BIO group, and it will be producing and packaging tomatoes under the SAVOURA BIO brand name within one month. In addition, Germain Babin, who until recently was the Sales Manager of JARDINS-NATURE, has been appointed Senior Account Executive of Sagami / Savoura / SAVOURA BIO as of today.
A major consolidation for the greenhouse industry
This historic partnership within the greenhouse industry will strengthen organic greenhouse farming’s strategic positioning in Quebec. For the two company presidents, this partnership was the obvious next step to increase market share in an increasingly complex and competitive business context. After signing the agreement, Stéphane Roy et Christian Côté said they were proud to unite their vision and their energy to not only consolidate employment in Gaspésie, but also to contribute to the economic development of this region and Quebec as a whole.
